The food was donated to ICA Food Shelf.

This year’s Minnetonka Night for Neighbors wasn’t just a fun evening; it was another big night for ICA Food Shelf.

The 103 neighborhoods that collected food for the Aug. 6 event donated 7,346 pounds of food to ICA, the city announced Monday. That brings the total for past five years to 36,000 pounds of food.

In all, 8,800 people are estimated to have participated in the 175 registered events at the 2013 Minnetonka Night for Neighbors.
