How Many People Attended Minnetonka Night for Neighbors?

A look at last week's event by the numbers.

Minnetonka Night for Neighbors took place Tuesday—and thousands of people participated. Here’s a look at the event by the numbers, courtesy of the City of Minnetonka:

  • 8,800: People participated in the event.
  • 175: Registered events, up from 156 in 2012.
  • 525: People at the largest event.
  • 103: Events that participated in the ICA Food Shelf food drive

Events scheduled to be visited by public officials*:

  • Police: 70
  • Fire: 65
  • Public works: 18
  • Hennepin County Ambulance: eight
  • Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office: nine

*City staff scheduled to attend parties were called back at 7 p.m. due to severe weather and safety concerns.
