Seven Minnetonka residents were among the nearly 27,000 runners who participated in Monday's marathon.
Seven runners from Minnetonka were among those who braved Monday’s heat for the Boston Marathon.

- Kevin Stieglbauer, 47, 3:58:04 (8,204 place overall)
- Jen Carlson, 36, 4:00:37 (8,764 place overall)
- James Guettler. 46, 4:09:26 (10,445 place overall)
- Dottie Jung, 55, 4:32:43 (14,575 place overall)
- Albert Van Der Schans, 4:35:46 (14,982 place overall)
- Karen Wiersum, 57, 5:33:25 (19,740 place overall)
- Greta Van Benschoten, 56, 5:54:28 (20,515 place overall)
Overall, Sharon Cherop, 28, of Kenya took the top female spot with a time of 2:31:50. Wesley Korir, 29, of Kenya and Louisville, KY, led the men with a time of 2:12:40.
