Tour de Tonka

, the annual Minnetonka Community Education multi-distanced bicycle ride through Lake Minnetonka communities for cyclists of all ages, promotes and celebrates healthy lifestyles, friendship, teamwork and recreation through the collaboration of cities, sponsors, local charities and hundreds of volunteers. This year's ride takes place on Saturday, Aug. 4.

There are five different routes for riders of all abilities, 16, 26, 43, 77 and 100 miles.

Volunteers are also still needed. There are 450 volunteer slots for this ride.

5:30 a.m. The bike corral opens
7:15 a.m. All riders need to be in their corrals
7:17 a.m. Opening Remarks and Announcements
7:20 a.m. National Anthem
7:30 a.m. 100-Mile Ride begins
7:37 a.m. 77-Mile Ride begins
7:44 a.m. 43-Mile Ride begins
7:54 a.m. 26-Mile Ride begins
8:00 a.m. 17-Mile Ride begins
8:03 a.m. All riders should be fully released
