5 Minnetonka, 3 Hopkins Football Players Receive All-Conference Honors

The teams also had players receive honorable mention recognition on the Lake Conference list.

Five Minnetonka football players and three Hopkins players are among the 27 athletes named to this year’s Lake Conference All-Conference list.

The following Minnetonka players made the list:

  • Nick Rooney (Senior, quarterback)
  • Mitch Felknor (Senior, wide receiver)
  • Anthony Tatum (Senior, safety)
  • Careino Gurley (Senior, linebacker)
  • Braden Sikes (Junior, wide receiver)

Minnetonka also had five players receive honorable mention recognition.

The Skippers finished the regular season with a 5-3 record. They beat Edina in the first round of the Section 6AAAAAA tournament but lost to Maple Grove in the next round.

The following Hopkins players made the list:

  • Andre Chisley (Senior, linebacker) 
  • Webb Bolstad (Junior, defensive end) 
  • Terrance Bowers (Senior, wide receiver) 

Hopkins also had five players receive honorable mention recognition.

The Royals finished the season with a 2-6 record then lost to Wayzata in the first round of the Section 6AAAAAA tournament.
