Four Minnetonka elementary schools, as well as Minnetonka's Preschool and Early Childhood Family Education, benefited from Saturday's Tonka Trot Family Fun Run.
“This is a fundraising event for Groveland, Clear Springs, Minnewashta and Scenic Heights elementary schools, and it also promotes healthy family activities,” said Kristen Applegate, a volunteer with Minnetonka schools.
The races, including a 10K, 5K and 1.5-mile Family Fun Run, began at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15 at . A live radio broadcast from Radio Disney and some warm-up instruction from The Marsh got runners' blood pumping on the chilly morning.
