In Abby Hansen's third blog for The New York Times "Happier, Perhaps, to Attend a State University Instead of an Ivy League School," she wonders why her classmates are so quick to discount state schools.

During a conversation about college, Hansen had this to say about a friend: "When asked the usual question he responded with “I’ll either be somewhere on the East Coast, or at the University of Minnesota in shame."

With all the perks the U of M has to offer Hansen, who plans on becoming a veterinarian, she wonders what more an Ivy League school could possibly do for her.
