ELECTION RESULTS: Incumbents Return To Minnetonka School Board

All precincts have reported in Minnetonka School District and Minnetonka City Council races.

Winners of Minnetona School Board seats are incumbents Lisa Wagner and Karen Walkowski, along with Charlie Kanan and Lisa Sumner.

The members of the were unable to beat the "insiders" as some refer to the two incumbents and the two members of other school-related boards.

According to unofficial results, incumbent Wagner lead the way with 3,725 votes followed by Kanan's 3,500 votes. Incumbent Walkowski came in third with 3,455, and the voters' final selection was Sumner with 3,326 votes.

Four out of the eight candidates won spots on the board. The other four candidates and their vote counts are as follows: Derek Eitreim (1,776 votes), Laurie Stoltenberg (1,547 votes), Kevin B. Maire (1,432 votes) and Joe Torelli (1,353 votes).

City of Minnetonka

James Hiller kept his Minnetonka City Council seat in Ward 4, over Jason Iannone, 928 votes to 192 votes, with 27 write-ins. This will be Hiller's second term on the council.

Bob Ellingson kept his Minnetonka City Council seat in Ward 1, over Peggy Kvam: 789 votes to 590 votes, with 5 writie-ins.

Running unnopposed, Tony Wagner (Ward 2) and Brad Wiersum (Ward 3) kept their council seats.
