Driver Faces Fourth Alcohol-Related Driving Offense in 6 Years

A witness told police that a man stopped his vehicle on an on-ramp and sat in a snow bank on the side of the road.

George Rogers Driver, 47, of Brooklyn Park, was arrested in Minnetonka for first-degree DWI.

At 10 p.m. on Feb. 21, officers were dispatched to a report of an erratic driver in the area of Highway 62 and Shady Oak Road. A witness following reported the driver stopped the vehicle on the on-ramp and exited the vehicle. The witness told police that the driver stumbled on the road behind the vehicle and sat in a snow bank briefly. 

When Driver refused to participate in field sobriety tests, he was arrested. Driver was charged in court with felony first-degree DWI and refusal to submit to chemical testing.
