'New Uses' Store Opens Today in Minnetonka

Calling themselves a "resale home store," the Ridgedale location is one of eight stores slated to open in the Twin Cities.

A new "resale home store" opens Thursday, Jan. 19 in Minnetonka across from , at 13029 Ridgedale Drive. The store is part of a national chain with eight stores planned for the Twin Cities and hundreds planned nationwide.

New Uses calls themselves a brand new take on selling and buying home goods, dealing in items such as furniture, home decor, kitchen goods, small appliances, consumer electronics, entertainment devices, tools, pet supplies and more.

Costomers get cash on the spot for their quality used goods. Consumers can also buy good-condition home merchandise at low prices, often $2 to $10 per item.

New Uses' owners say the store is different from traditional used-merchandise outlets because they offer a large selection of products in many categories and all products are clean, safe, working and in good condition. All items have a seven-day return policy.

Costumers can bring items to sell to the store without appointment. Staff will make sure it meets quality and operating standards. If accepted, sellers receive money based on condition, brand, stock level and demand.
