Given that the majority of people in the Western World have some issues with body image I decided to do a short interview with Author Anne-Sophie Reinhardt regarding what she learned on her journey to having a healthy body image. If you want to read more about the correlation between body image and eating disorders you can do so at my website Hope Network, LLC.
Here is my Interview with Author Anne-Sophie Reinhardt: The Ultimate Guide to A Healthy Body Image.

1. Anne-Sophie, what inspired you to write: The Ultimate Guide to a Healthy Body Image?
When I recovered from anorexia, I had a terrible time coming to terms with my changing body. Having to gain a lot of weight caused me to have an identity crisis. Who was I if I wasn’t the skinny girl? What could I contribute to this world if I wasn’t tiny, pretty and different than my family? I hated my body and I hated that it was getting bigger. I’ve had to work a lot with my therapist and other professional counselors to get over my fear-based body image and my self-perception. As much as I appreciated the help of my therapist, I longed for a resource written by someone who had been in my shoes and who knew exactly how I was feeling. I couldn’t find this book and so after I got better, I wrote it myself. It really is my gift to those who are struggling with their bodies – eating disordered or not. I wrote the book in one day – the different lessons just wanted to be told.

2. What are people saying about how this book helped them?
Women and men (which surprised me at first) write to me all the time saying that this book helped them to overcome deep inner struggles and conflicts. The Ultimate Guide to a Healthy Body Image gives them ideas on how to bridge the gap between their self-perception and their often very vulnerable core. In the book, I take the reader through simple steps that provide instant relief in stress situations, as well as long-term solutions for a deeply distorted body image and self-perception. I get a lot of feedback saying that going through the book is fun, but also very healing. I don’t stay on the surface and instead encourage the reader to dig deep – and the readers appreciate that a lot.
3. Who are the people who will most benefit from this book?
The Ultimate Guide to a Healthy Body Image
Anybody. I know this is a big statement but I know that we all suffer from a distorted body image – men, women, kids and teens, those eating disordered and those considered “healthy”. We live in a world that shames us all into believing our bodies are wrong in many ways and The Ultimate Guide to a Healthy Body Image helps to uncover these lies and instead come back to a place of healthy self-love and trust. Even if you consider yourself to have a good relationship with your body, this book will help you have an even deeper and more love-based connection with yourself and your beautiful body.
