Son of Former Minnetonka Resident Receives High Scout Honors

Ryan Hoffman recently received the Boy Scout Highest Rank of Eagle at a Eagle Court of Honor.

Ryan Hoffman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Hoffman of Chesapeake, VA, and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley R. Hoffman of Minnetonka, recently received the Boy Scout Highest Rank of Eagle at a Eagle Court of Honor conducted by Troop 303 at St. Matthew Catholic School in Virginia Beach, VA.  

Ryan joined scouts in 2008 with Cub Scout Pack 303 and bridged over to Troop 303 in May of 2009. Ryan is a Brotherhood member of the Order of Arrow who received Honor Arrowman in 2013 and has 70 Merit Badges. 

Ryan's Eagle project, completed in September 2013, consisted of building 10 benches for the Virginia Beach Animal Care and Adoption Center in Virginia Beach. Ryan's father Gene is formerly from Hopkins and Minnetonka, and grandparents Stan and Joanne still live in Minnetonka.
