Minnehaha Creek Watershed Needs Citizen Advisors

Seats available on the MCWD's Citizen Advisory Committee. The deadline for applications is Monday, December 31, 2012.

The Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (MCWD) has three openings on its Citizen Advisory Committee, a citizen group that provides input on the District’s projects and programs.

The group meets once per month to discuss issues of importance to the MCWD, review MCWD projects and policies and recommend actions to the Board of Managers.

  • attending community events and educational seminars,
  • teaching community groups about water quality topics like lawn care and salt use; and,
  • acting as a liaison between the District and community groups, like lake and stream associations.

The MCWD’s Citizen Advisory Committee typically meets the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the District offices at 18202 Minnetonka Boulevard, Deephaven.
