May 17-19: Household Hazardous Waste Collection

Hennepin County is collectng household hazardous waste in Minnetonka May 17-19.

Hennepin County hosts community collection events for residents to safely and properly dispose of unwanted garden and household hazardous wastes.

The county will accept many hazardous wastes including household, lawn and garden products; items containing mercury; electronics; and auto and fuel waste. Items are accepted from households only; business waste is not accepted.

The collection events will be Thursday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the following dates:
• Independence:  May 3–5
Independence City Hall parking lot, 1920 County Road 90

• Minnetonka:  May 17–19

• St. Louis Park: June 7–9
7250 State Hwy. 7 – Parking lot in southwest quadrant of Hwy. 7 and Louisiana Ave.

• Minneapolis: July 26–28
Dunwoody College of Technology, 818 Dunwoody Blvd.

• Minneapolis: August 16–18
Pillsbury School parking lot, 2231 Garfield St. N.E.

• Shorewood: September 13–15
City of Shorewood – Public Works Department, 24200 Smithtown Rd.

Hennepin County provides residents with permanent drop-off facilities open year-round at 1400 W. 96th St. in Bloomington and 8100 Jefferson Highway in Brooklyn Park.
