Synaplex Explores Our Changing Relationships With JTS Scholar Dr. David Kraemer

Adath Jeshurun Congregation in Minnetonka welcomes Dr. David Kraemer, Joseph J. and Dora Abbell Librarian and Professor of Talmud and Rabbinics at The Jewish Theological Seminary, for a Synaplex Shabbat on March 16-17, open to the community. A popular lecturer and teacher, he is a highly regarded scholar, prolific author and commentator. He was associated for many years with CLAL—The National Jewish Center of Learning and Leadership—under whose auspices he lectured around the country.

"Synaplex Explores Our Changing Relationships" is the theme. David Kraemer will introduce the weekend with a discussion of Jewish families—what they are, how they have changed and continue to adapt, at a congregational dinner on Friday evening ("Jewish Families through History: A Story of Adaptation and Tradition”). Reservations may be made at www.adathjeshurun.org or by calling the synagogue, 952.545.2424.

In his Shabbat morning d’var Torah (“God’s Children”) and at a Learn after Lunch following the Kiddush lunch (“Who Are We to God? Who Is God to Us?”) Dr. Kraemer will address the Jewish people’s changing relationship to God.
