Middle School Students Design Lockers for the Future

Video by Minnetonka Schools

In the STEM classroom at Minnetonka Middle School East, students designed the locker of the future.

What will a locker look like in ten years? How will students re-purpose lockers to fit their needs in ten years? The answers are part of a project designed to challenge students critical thinking skills.

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) is a class where students learn to think like engineers. They are graded on their use of math, engineering process and creative thinking. Creative thinking is the foremost objective with the Locker Project. Some of their solutions may have you wishing their lockers were here today.
