[Name Removed] and Oladipupo Ademola Legunsen, both of Brooklyn Park, were each charged with one count of felony prostitution.
Two men who responded to the ad placed by a Hopkins High School cheerleader on behalf of a younger teammate have been charged in court.
[name removed] and Oladipupo Ademola Legunsen, 27, both of Brooklyn Park, were each charged with one count of felony prostitution on June 25. If convicted, the men face up to 5 years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine.
Montia Marie Parker, an 18-year-old senior from Maple Grove, is accused of trafficking a 16-year-old Hopkins cheerleader by placing an ad on Backpage.com and convincing her to prostitute herself.
Montia Marie Parker was charged on May 22 with two felonies: sex trafficking in the second degree and solicitation, inducement and promotion of prostitution.
The victim is a sophomore at Hopkins High School and on the cheerleading team. Her mother told police that she is on an Individual Education Plan at school and works with a social worker due to a developmental cognitive delay.
With the assistance of the victim, [name removed] and Legunson were identified. When contacted by detectives, both adult males denied having any sexual contact with the juvenile female. The victim viewed two separate photo line-ups and confirmed the two males were the ones who responded to the ad, according to police.
