Minnetonka Man Admits Distributing Child Porn

Jonathan Charles Otto pleaded guilty Friday.

A 36-year-old Minnetonka man pleaded guilty Friday to distribution of child pornography, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Minnesota announced.

In his plea agreement, Jonathan Charles Otto admitted that he distributed images and videos showing minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct. He also admitted that he had more than 45,000 images and more than 3,800 videos that were similar. Some showed sadistic or masochistic conduct or other depictions of violence.

Otto faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, with a mandatory minimum of five years.

U.S. District Judge Richard H. Kyle will set the sentence later.

The Minnesota Child Exploitation Task Force, sponsored by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, investigated the case in cooperation with the Minnetonka Police Department and the London Metropolitan Police Service.
