Convicted Stalker Waves at Neighbor, Caught Near Prior Victim’s Home

Mark Andrew Kranz has been charged with 'a pattern of stalking.'

A Brooklyn Center man faces a felony stalking charge after reportedly e-mailing a prior stalking victim and waving at a neighbor who knew the woman had a restraining order against him, according to court documents filed earlier this month.

The unidentified neighbor told Minnetonka police that she’d seen 49-year-old Mark Andrew Kranz on April 20 near the home where the stalking victim lives, Officer Samantha Johnson wrote in the charging document. The neighbor added that Kranz waved at her when she drove past him.

Officers spoke with the woman who had the restraining order against Kranz. She told officers that she told them that she had a domestic abuse no contact order in place because Kranz was convicted of stalking her in 2012.
