Minnetonka’s Scicom Could Lay Off 118 Workers After Sale
The company is being sold to Venture Solutions Inc.
Minnetonka-based Scicom Data Services has warned the state that it could lay off its 118 Twin Cities workers in its sale to Taylor Corp., the Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal reported Monday.
Venture Solutions Inc., the Taylor Corp. subsidiary buying the document processing company, expects to hire some of the employees.
Staffing levels should be known by late September.
