CenterPoint Energy Gives Minnetonka Man New Furnace

The prize was awarded as part of a contest with the Minnesota Swarm.

CenterPoint Energy selected a Minnetonka resident as the winner of the Minnesota Swarm’s first Furnace Giveaway contest, the company announced Wednesday.

Kevin Maire won a new Ruud high-efficiency furnace and installation worth more than $3,800 following a contest highlighted during the 2013 season of the National Lacrosse League team. Nearly 700 entries were collected from fans at regular home games and online at HSPtoday.com.

“This has been an exciting season for CenterPoint Energy to partner with the Minnesota Swarm,” a news release quoted Dave Muller, CenterPoint’s Home Service Plus (HSP) marketing and sales manager. “Each year, HSP partners with Minnesota teams that share our values of hard work, dedication and fan appreciation. Like the Swarm, we are grateful for our thousands of fans who have trusted HSP for many seasons—over 80 years! Thanks to the Goodin Company and Ruud furnaces, we were able to reward Kevin with a fantastic furnace, and enjoyed all of the fans we met at this season’s game table.”
