Minnetonka's Alan Bersten Was 'Saved' Tuesday on 'So You Think You Can Dance'

On Tuesday night, Alan Bersten escaped elimination. Watch the blindfolded contemporary dance that saved him here.

Ballroom dancer Alan Bersten, a native of Minnetonka, found himself in the bottom six on Tuesday's episode of Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance."

This season, the judges eliminate one guy and one girl at the top of the shows. Bersten landed in the bottom six but was immediately “saved” by the judges due to last week's performance. In the contemporary dance, Bersten and his partner Jasmine were blindfolded (watch it in the attached video). Visit the show's website to watch Bersten's Tuesday night performance.

Bersten, 19, and his older brother were two of the dancers vying for the Top 20. Gene Bersten was cut, but Alan got to continue his ballroom dancing on a national stage.

The next episode of "So You Think You Can Dance" is July 9.
