It's Time for the Tonka Turkey Trot

The Thanksgiving Day event is a fun and family-oriented 5K run that welcomes runners of all ages.

The Fourth Annual Tonka Turkey Trot will be hosted on Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 28, at Minnetonka High School.

The Tonka Turkey Trot is a fun and family-oriented 5K run that welcomes runners of all ages. The event is a fundraiser for the Minnetonka Track and Cross Country programs. This year we feature a brand new race course, chip timing, and our first ever "Tonka Turkey Scoot", a 100-yard dash for kids.  The Turkey Scoot will be run in the Tonka Dome at 8 a.m., and the Turkey Trot 5K will start at 8:30 a.m.

The Tonka Turkey Trot has something for everyone - a fun run/walk for participants of all ages on a fast, scenic new loop course, a fun, festive, family environment that serves as a great kick-start to the Holiday season, and a chance for friends and alumni to reconnect at a very special time of the year.

You are invited to stick around for treats, refreshments and camaraderie in the Tonka Dome after the race. Prizes will be awarded to age group winners, overall male and female race winners and best costume.
