Mike & Lindsay Strand, Neighbor

The Strands are Minnetonka locals and experienced real estate agents with Edina Realty.  Both Mike and Lindsay take great pride in passionately representing clients as buyers or sellers of single family homes, condos and townhouses. They understand the complexities of today’s market, including the sale of distressed properties and selling traditional properties that may be located next to a foreclosed home.

Mike is a former broadcast journalist, having cut his teeth in public radio and later as an on-air reporter and documentary producer for WCCO-TV. Mike brings nearly 30 years of experience in marketing and communications (including commercial property development) to his Twin Cities real estate practice. His recognized integrity and intelligence as a former journalist and labor negotiator afford him the skills needed to reach consensus on sales and purchases. He's earned the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designation, as well as the National Association of Realtors 'ePro' certification for Internet marketing expertise. He is a former scout master in the Northstar Council of the Boy Scouts of America (Mustang District).

Lindsay's strong community interests include welcoming refugees to Minnesota from war-torn countries, such as Bosnia; serving as an advocate for hospice care and supporting efforts to provide a healthy start in life for all children. Lindsay is an active member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral in Minneapolis and sits on the board of the Sheltering Arms Foundation. Lindsay was appointed by Gov. Tim Pawlenty to the Minnesota Academic Standards Committee. She is a former television reporter covering state government for KSTP-TV.

The Strands met in graduate school while completing a Master’s degree program in Public Affairs journalism at the University of Illinois.
