Minnetonka Cheer Team Repeats as National Champs
The Minnetonka High School varsity cheer team repeated their National Title in the Medium Varsity Non-Tumbling Division this past weekend, after being the first Minnesota team to return home with the coveted Satin Jackets in 2012.
School spirit is alive and well in Minnetonka. The Minnetonka High School varsity cheer team repeated their National Title in the Medium Varsity Non-Tumbling Division this past weekend, after being the first Minnesota team to return home with the coveted Satin Jackets in 2012. An honor traditionally earned by strong Southern states, Minnesota broke into the National spotlight last year. Three Minnesota Competition Cheerleading Teams captured national titles in their respective divisions during the National High School Cheerleading Competition in Orlando this weekend (Feb. 9-10), making Minnesota history.
