Obituary: Sean Lionel Michael Ray

The lives of Sean Ray and Judy Reid will be celebrated in a memorial service on Saturday, March 2 in Minneapolis.

Sean Lionel Michael Ray, 49, was killed in a car crash near Barnesville on Feb. 18, which also claimed the life of his beloved partner, Judy Reid.  Sean was born in Manitou, Manitoba, Canada, in 1963 to Grayce (Cassidy) Ray and Timothy Ray. As a youngster, he moved with the family to various locations in the United States, settling in the Fargo/Moorhead area in 1970. He graduated from Fargo South High School in 1981 and attended North Dakota State University, excelling principally in his passion, soccer.  The lives of Sean Ray and Judy Reid will be celebrated in a memorial service scheduled for noon on Saturday, March 2, at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Avenue South in Minneapolis, with reception to follow. Obituary: Judith A. Reid

Judy Reid was killed in a President's Day car crash on I-94. Saturday would have been her 49th birthday.

Judith A. Reid, age 48, of Minnetonka, passed away Feb. 18, 2013 in a motor vehicle accident, which also claimed the life of her beloved partner, Sean Ray. Preceded in death by her father, John, and brother, Jeff. Judy was born in Albert Lea, MN and enjoyed fishing and camping. She was employed by Medica as a customer service representative. Survived by mother, Jane Reid; sister, Jean (Mark) Sabre; sister-in-law, Monica Reid; niece, Lillian Reid; nephew, Jacob Reid; and many special relatives and friends. A memorial service, for both Judy and Sean, is Saturday, March 2 at 12 p.m. at Lakewood Memorial Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis. Reception following at Lakewood Reception Center.
