Parents Talk: What's Your New Year's Resolution?

Have you resolved to have a family movie night each week? Take more time for yourself? Share your 2013 resolutions in the comments section below.

And usually I'm able to stick to about half of them—like giving up watermelon for the month of February or taking a nap once a week. (Wink) Try as I might, I haven't been able to convince myself that a gym is a great place to be three times a week—however, I'll give it another shot in 2013. Patch wants to know what resolutions you've made for the new year. Have you vowed to have a family movie night each week? Take a family vacation to Yellowstone National Park? Make a standing date with your partner? Or maybe you've decided to count to three before yelling at your clumsy nine-year-old for breaking yet another glass dish. Tell …

The Marsh Raises Money For ICA Food Shelf

ICA depends on community partners to raise money and collect food.

ICA Food Shelf gained $1,370.49 last Saturday from an event hosted at The Marsh. For a $10 contribution to the food shelf at the "Spring Into Action" event, community members were welcome to participate in two of The Marsh’s hottest new dance classes: BodyJam– an addictive cardio fusion of the latest dance styles and the hottest new sounds, and Jukari Fit to Flex– an exciting new flexibility class created by Reebok and Cirque du Soleil. In addition, 10 percent of the gross restaurant sales for the day were donated to ICA. ICA serves over 800 families per month in Minnetonka, Excelsior and mobile food shelves in seven communities from Hopkins to Shorewood.

Check Out the Changes to Our Patch Sites

We've done a quick visual nip-and-tuck to the homepage to make it even more user-friendly.

No, you're not losing it! You'll notice, if you've visited before, that Minnetonka Patch and all Patch websites are looking a little different. We did a quick visual nip-and-tuck to the homepage to make it even more user-friendly. And we've moved a couple pieces of furniture. For those keeping score: And of course we prettified a few things. While the site might look a little different, we still offer the same robust coverage of everything happening in your community. That was, is, and will always be our mission. We hope you'll let us know what you think of our tweaks—drop me a line or offer a comment below!
