Monday is Presidents Day. Here's a handy list of what's open and closed for the holiday: Remaining open locally are major grocery stores, retail stores and liquor stores. With banks, it is best advised to check ahead of time. Most outdoor ice rinks will close for the season on Monday, with the exception of the rinks at McKenzie, Glen Lake and Meadow Parks in Minnetonka. Learn about the requirements and duties of election judges by attending an information session: Tuesday, May 22, at 7 p.m. in the Boards and Commissions Room, Minnetonka City Hall, 14600 Minnetonka Boulevard. Wednesday, May 23, at 10 a.m. in the Council Chambers, Minnetonka Community Center, 14600 Minnetonka Boulevard. Election judges provide an essential service to our community. If you’ve ever considered becoming a judge or are just curious, you’re encouraged to attend.
