PHOTOS: Ricky Rubio Signs Autos at Ridgedale

The Minnesota Timberwolves star point guard Ricky Rubio helped celebrate the grand opening of Best Buy Mobile on Thursday, before his season-ending injury on Friday.

Minnesota Timberwolves rookie point guard Ricky Rubio greeted fans and signed autographs on Thursday at Ridgedale Center. Best Buy Mobile partnered with the Minnesota Timberwolves to celebrate the grand opening of a Best Buy Mobile specialty store. However, on Friday playing against the Los Angeles Lakers, Rubio fell to the floor clutching his left knee and shin after he went to help defend Lakers star Kobe Bryant. Rubio has a torn ACL knee ligament, an injury that takes up to nine months to recover from.   The Wolves not only lost the game on the play, they lost their starting point guard and a player who finally has made them internationally relevant again, according to a Star Tribune blog.
