Minnetonka Man Charged with Meth Possession, Again

Police say Robert Jay Wong, already facing charges of possessing methamphetamine and illegally possessing firearms, had more meth and more guns in his Minnetonka home when he was arrested on Nov. 1.

A Minnetonka man already facing a felony drug charge in Hennepin County has been charged again with possession of more than 100 grams of methamphetamine. Robert Jay Wong, 51, was arrested Nov. 1 and charged with first-degree drug possession, which carries a maximum penalty of 40 years in prison and a $1 million fine. The charge carries a mandatory minimum sentence of four years in prison and a $300,000 fine. Wong is also charged with being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, a felony with a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison and a $30,000 fine, and a mandatory minimum penalty of five years in prison.
