Police say Justin Grant Evans, already a suspect in a series of west metro burglaries, broke into Minnetonka businesses and stole tools and computer equipment last month.
A St. Louis Park man charged earlier in the month in connection with a burglary at a Wayzata jewelry store is facing more charges of burglarizing Minnetonka businesses, stealing tools and then storing the stolen items in a Richfield apartment. Justin Grant Evans, 36, is facing two new felony charges of third-degree burglary, each of which carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Evans remains in the Hennepin County Jail on a $40,000 bond on the earlier Wayzata charges, and an additional $20,000 bond on the new charges. A St. Louis Park man suspected in a series of commercial burglaries in Minnetonka has been charged with breaking into a Wayzata jewelry store last month and stealing more than $4,000 worth of rings. Justin Grant Evans, 36, is charged with third-degree burglary, a felony with a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Evans remains in the Hennepin County Jail on a $40,000 bond. An omnibus hearing in his case is scheduled April 24 in Hennepin County District Court. According to the criminal complaint, compiled by Wayzata Police Lt.
