The city of Minnetonka will hold a lottery drawing Thursday, Feb. 14, for 2013 Gray's Bay Marina boat slip vacancies and for the waiting list. Only city of Minnetonka residents are eligible for these slips. The majority of slips available are approximately 10-1/2 feet wide and can accommodate boats up to a maximum of 24 feet length overall. In addition, a very limited number of slips are available for up to 26 feet length overall. Cost per slip for the 2013 boating season is $3,900. Appplications must be received at Minnetonka City Hall no later than 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13. On Thursday, Feb. 16, the city of Minnetonka held a lottery drawing for 2012 Gray’s Bay Marina boat slip vacancies and for the waiting list. Only Minnetonka residents were eligible for these slips. Four individuals were chosen by lottery to fill the boat slip vacancy and 18 others chosen by lottery to fill wait list vacancies. Slips are approximately 10½ feet in width and can accommodate boats up to a maximum of 26 feet length overall (LOA). Cost per slip for the 2010 boating season is $3,800. Slips are approximately 10½ feet wide and can accommodate boats up to a maximum of 24 feet in total length. Cost per slip for the 2012 boating season is $3,900. Starting today, the Gray’s Bay Boulevard bridge over the channel between Libb’s Lake and Gray’s Bay will be closed for maintenance. The bridge is expected to be closed through the end of the month. According to the city of Minnetonka, the bridge railings are being removed, sandblasted and repainted. In the absence of those railings, the bridge must close for safety reasons. A detour notice will be posted on Minnetonka Boulevard and County Road 101.
