Minnesotans Smash State and National Giving Records on Give to the Max Day

Donors raise $16 million for local nonprofit organizations and schools during fourth annual Give to the Max Day.

The following was released from GiveMN.org: Give to the Max Day, Minnesota’s annual 24-hour philanthropic marathon, raised $16,391,905 for 4,381 local nonprofits and schools, breaking the previous state and national records for charitable giving. More than 53,000 people logged on to www.GiveMN.org to donate to their favorite nonprofits and schools, hoping that matching grants and prize money could further their charitable contributions. During last year’s Give to the Max Day, 47,534 donors raised $13.4 million for 3,978 nonprofit organizations. Among these incentives were Leaderboard Grants including the top prizes of $12,500, $5,000 and $2,500 which were given to the nonprofit organizations and colleges that received the most dollars …

'Give to the Max Day' Returns on Nov. 15 to Raise Money for MN Nonprofits

GiveMN has raised more than $50 million for over 6,700 Minnesota nonprofits.

“Give to the Max Day” returns for its fourth year on Nov. 15, and Minnesotans will once again be challenged to raise as much money as possible for nonprofit organizations and schools in 24 hours. GiveMN has raised more than $50 million for over 6,700 Minnesota nonprofits. The success of Give to the Max Day has spurred similar fundraising days for states across the country. Give to the Max Day was created to increase giving to nonprofits across the state. Donations on Give to the Max Day can be made through GiveMN.org, a charitable giving website that helps Minnesotans discover, support and engage with nonprofits and schools. Consider giving to a local nonprofit on Give to the Max Day, Nov. 16.

This Wednesday, thousands of Minnesota nonprofits will ask supporters to maximize their charitable dollars by donating during GiveMN.org’s Give to the Max Day. The Nov. 16 event offers incentives to inspire nonprofit and donor participation. Grants are available for the top-earning nonprofits in several categories, and there will also be random grants. Dozens of organizations in the GiveMN database call Minnetonka home—more than the casual philanthropist could ever keep track of.
