UPDATE: School Bus Incident Slows Traffic on Highway 7 Due to Medical Emergency
Traffic was backed up going both directions Monday afternoon on Highway 7.
The driver of a First Student bus had a medical emergency on the frontage road near Highway 7 and Vine Hill Road on the Minnetonka/Shorewood border just after 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14. As officials assisted, traffic was backed up going both directions on Highway 7. The frontage road west of Vine Hill Road near the park and ride was closed. No students were on the bus at the time of the incident. The bus driver had just finished a route from Excelsior Elementary and was on his way to Groveland Elementary when the incident happened, according to First Student.
