Bomb Squad: #9 Minnetonka Patch Story of 2012

We're counting down the most popular, inspiring, interesting and tragic stories of the year.

Minnetonka Police responded to a home on Baker Road, near the intersection of Orchard Road, on the report of a medical situation on July 31 at 8:15 a.m. First arriving officers found an adult male, deceased, in the yard of the home. Minnetonka Police Chief Mark Raquet said they are treating the death as a suicide. "At this point, we don't have any reason to believe it was anything other than a suicide, although we're still continuing our investigation," he said. Raquet said the person left a note that made officials nervous of what may be in the house, so they called in the HazMat (hazardous materials) team and the Bloomington Bomb Squad.
