It's March 1 and the "Big Day" for the anticipated Minnetonka recreation center.
The Big Thrill Factory, a new recreation center in the former Kmart building on Highway 7 and County Road 101 in Minnetonka, is now open. Activities at the center include bowling, Bump-N-Spin cars, laser tag, an arcade with prizes, a black light rope course and a "Fun Factory" playground designed for kids. In addition to the attractions, a café serving food and beverages is available anytime or for a catered birthday party or event. A private event center can be booked for corporate events. The Big Thrill Factory will include 13,839 square feet of outdoor space for 18 holes of mini golf, trampolines, a climbing wall and spider climbs as the weather gets warmer. Owners hope to fill 80 positions before opening March 1.
The Big Thrill Factory, a new recreation center going into the former Kmart building on Highway 7 and County Road 101, is hiring. Owner Michelle Lynch said they are starting the hiring process and planning a job fair in January before the planned opening date of March 1. The business will bring 80 or more jobs to Minnetonka. To apply, visit the Big Thrill Factory online. The job fair will be Jan. 13-14. On Sunday, Jan 13, the fair will be hosted from 1-5 p.m. and on Monday, Jan. 14, from 4-8 p.m. at the Big Thrill Factory location. The former Kmart on Highway 101 and County Road 7 in Minnetonka may soon become home to a new recreation center complete with bowling, bumper cars, laser tag, arcade, climbing walls and a mini golf course. And by the amount of readers who tuned into the article Big Thrill Factory Rec Center Coming to Former Kmart in Minnetonka, the community is clearly excited. Owners plan to open the business in March. The Big Thrill Factory will be a multipurpose recreational facility in 33,750 square feet of the building. Northern Tool + Equipment Co. also resides there.
