Minnetonka Middle School East serves students from Deephaven, Eden Prairie, Minnetonka, Shorewood and Woodland.More Located on Lake Street Extension just East of CR-101, this schools educates sixth through eighth grade and offers a tradition curriculum with classes in reading, writing, spelling, art, mathematics (advanced courses available), media and technology, music, physical education, science (advanced courses available), social studies and world languages (Chinese, French, German, Spanish).

Eighty percent of Minnetonka Middle School East students are involved in at least one after-school activity, including pottery, yearbook, student council and string ensemble. Sports teams include volleyball, cross-country running and skiing, tennis, wresting, golf and track.

Minnetonka Middle School East is also home to the Minnetonka Aquatics Center and the Minnetonka Swim Club.

Shady Oak Park and Beach is the place to go in Minnetonka for summer fun. Open from June through August, the parkMore features a swimming beach complete with a pier, lifeguards, a concession stand and a sandy playground. Outside the gated entrance is a large picnic shelter with grills and tables.
