Gatewood Elementary is a part of the Hopkins Public School District. It offers education for children inMore kindergarten through the 6th grade. The regular school day schedule is from 9:30am to 4:05pm. There is a half day kindergarten program available here as well. The principal is Donna Montgomery. The school uses an "Electronic Backpack" system which gives parents access to all relevant forms and notices online by using the school's website. This school serves students who reside in Eden Prairie, Minnetonka and Hopkins. 
Deephaven Elementary School

Deephaven Elementary School serves the Deephaven and Shorewood neighborhoods. Located just East of Carson Bay inMore Deephaven, kids here take classes in reading, writing, grammar, spelling, handwriting, math, science, social studies, health, art, music, media and technology and physical education. Deephaven Elementary students also have the option of Spanish immersion beginning in kindergarten.

In 2007, The Deephaven Elementary Parent Teacher Organization built an Outdoor Classroom in the school's courtyard. The Outdoor Classroom is meant to give a hands-on approach to the elementary science and math curriculum. Each Deephaven Elementary student experiences at least one event per season in the Outdoor Classroom.

Transportation by school bus is provided for the majority of children residing in the school district at no charge to the family. Two hot lunch choices are offered each day; meals are planned in accordance with requirements of the federal school lunch guidelines.

For children in need of before- and/or after-school care, Deephaven offers Explorer's Club for children in grades kindergarten to 5th.  Hours are 6:45am until school starts and after school until 6pm.

Minnewashta Elementary School serves neighborhoods in Chanhassen, Shorewood, Tonka Bay and Victoria. Located offMore Highway 7, kids here take classes in reading, writing, grammar, spelling, handwriting, math, science, social studies, health, art, music, media and technology, and physical education. Minnetonka School District elementary students also have the option of Chinese or Spanish Immersion beginning in kindergarten.
