In Minnetonka, all judicial proceedings, including civil, criminal and family courts, are handled by Hennepin County. The Hennepin County Court is located across from Ridgedale Mall on the third floor of the Ridgedale Regional Center. There are ten judicial districts in the State of Minnesota. Minnetonka is located in the Fourth Judicial District. Ridgedale Courthouse is considered the Third Division of this Fourth Judicial District. The Fourth Judicial District Court serves only Hennepin County and is the state's largest trial court, receiving nearly 800,000 cases each year and employing 62 judges, 13 referees and 586 staff members.
