Boutique Shopping and Honor Your Veteran

Also this weekend: 'Young Frankenstein' and Girl Scout craft sale.

This Saturday, Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Benilde-St. Margaret's hosts their Knightsbridge Boutique Shopping Event.

Benilde-St. Margaret's is located at 2501 Highway 100 South in St. Louis Park. Inspired by London's upscale retail district, Knightsbridge, the school's Haben Center is transformed "Brit-style" into a fabulous collection of more than 65 boutique shops and market stalls. There are rows and rows of stylish, must-have goods for the savvy shopper.

A highly selective mix of merchants offer a range of unique clothing, accessories, jewelry, spa-pampering products, gourmet foods, household items and much more. BSM's Knightsbridge caters to all tastes: vintage, eclectic, trendy and timeless.

'Young Frankenstein' musical

Catch the Minnetonka High School fall musical, "Young Frankenstein," on the Arts Center on 7 Main Stage. This highly comedic and vaudevillian style musical brings an extra punch of pizazz to Mel Brooks' beloved movie of the same name. While the script has been cleaned up for the Minnesota High School production, the show still features all of the favorite jokes and gags from the film.

Honor Your Veteran

The Lake Minnetonka Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will honor veterans through its second annual Veterans Day salute, the “Plant a Flag for Freedom” event, on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 11 a.m.

This event is a great opportunity for all members of the public to recognize veterans in their families and communities from all eras by planting a flag in their honor. The event takes place at Heritage Park (Wayzata Blvd. at Hwy 101) in Wayzata.

Girl Scout Craft Sale

River Valleys Girl Scout troops will be hosting their Second Annual Craft Sale on Sunday, Nov. 10, from 12-4 p.m. at Eisenhower Elementary School (South Gym, 1001 Minnesota 7) in Hopkins. Get handmade crafts made by local Girl Scouts.
