Students Head Back to School Tuesday

Also: Soccer players get an early start to cross-town rivalries, and the city closes up for Labor Day.

Sorry kids. The lazy summer days are almost over. Students across the state head back to school Tuesday — including those in Minnetonka.

  • Monday is Labor Day: City offices and other public buildings will be closed Monday for Labor Day. The city also doesn’t have any meetings scheduled. So take a break and enjoy some time off with the family.
  • Soccer Cross-town Rivalries Rev Up: Boys’ and girls’ teams get an early start to their cross-town rivalries. For both boys’ and girls’ teams, Hopkins and Minnetonka play one another Tuesday. The girls’ varsity game starts at 7 p.m. at Minnetonka. The boys’ game  starts at 5 p.m. at Minnetonka. Click here for a full list of this week’s varsity and junior varsity match-ups.
