Also: Entertain and educate your child at Glen Lake's fall recreation classes.

After months of planning, enrollment for MNsure, the state’s new health insurance exchange, opens Tuesday and coverage starts Jan. 1.

Small Business Minnesota is hosting educational forums about MNsure to help people with questions. The Minnetonka forum takes place from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 30 in the Robert H. Rohlf Room on the main floor of the Ridgedale Library and Government Center. The forum costs $10, which includes appetizers, soft drinks and program materials.

  • Registration is open for children's fall recreation classes: Looking for something to entertain and educate your child? There are a handful of recreation classes available at the Glen Lake Activity Center. “Fall Into Science,” which starts Oct. 9, teaches 3½ to 6 year olds about autumn. “Nursery Rhyme Time Art Class” starts the same day. Children ages 18 months to 6 years will rhyme and paint. And there are Halloween craft parties Oct. 17 and Oct. 31. At the first party, kids 4 to 9 years old will create a graveyard scene with “sweet” art supplies, such as candy corn. At the second, children from 18 months to 6 years old will use paint and clay to make a black cat, ghost or jack o’ lantern. Click here for full details on times and how to register.
