ResourceWest Seeks Toys for Toy Chest Drive

This seasonal program provides new toys and gifts to children and teens through senior high.

Registration opened Tuesday for ResourceWest’s annual Toy Chest Drive.

This seasonal program provides new toys and gifts to children and teens through senior high living in Deephaven, Excelsior, Greenwood, Hopkins, Minnetonka, Shorewood and Woodland.

Families receive one large item, two smaller items, and stocking stuffers for each child. The program provided gifts to more than 1,350 children in 2010—a sharp increase compared to the 1,020 children who received gifts in 2009.

Families that qualify for free or reduced lunch can call 952-988-5350 to sign up for the program.

ResourceWest will be collecting new, unwrapped toys through Dec. 19. Drop-off locations are listed below. Cash donations are also welcome and can be made on the organization’s website.
