ICA Food Shelf Attempts Guinness World Record

Help make history! Be part of a record-breaking food drive.

ICA Food Shelf is attempting to set a new Guinness World Record for the largest food drive in a 24-hour period, and you can help.

The goal is 600,000 pounds of food. From 12 a.m. to 11:59 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, donations can be brought to the Minnetonka .

There are also other ways to help.

Donate money: All funds collected through a special fundraising page will be used to purchase food on March 24. To make a donation, click here.

Become a sponsor: Are you part of a larger company or group that would like to become a sponsor? Several sponsorships opportunities are available:
Leader - $5,000 or 10,000 lbs of food

Champion - $10,000 or 20,000 lbs of food

Hall of Famer - $20,000 or 40,000 lbs of food

World Record Holder - $30,000 or a semi-load of food

Host a food drive: To host a food drive, a group raises money or generates food donations. All food for the Guinness World Record must be delivered on Saturday, March 24 between 12 a.m. and 11:59 p.m.

Volunteer: Volunteers are needed ahead of time to help plan special events, refreshments and more for March 24. Volunteers are needed the day of the event to help collect all food deliveries, keep track of all participants and help weigh food.
