Cedar Pass Residents Double Up on Food Shelf Donations

The neighborhood that won this year's food drive donated the prize, as well.

Residents of the Cedar Pass neighborhood had already earned a reputation for generosity during Minnetonka Night for Neighbors. The 657 pounds of food that residents collected won the neighborhood first place in this year’s Night for Neighbors food drive.

But their generosity didn’t stop there.

Although they won gift certificates for 20 Chipotle burritos, they didn’t eat the burritos. Instead, they donated the gift certificates to ICA Food Shelf. The organization will use the certificates at the Taste of the Lakes silent auction.
