Wilson Finishes 23rd Overall At State Golf

The Minnetonka junior shot a 152 for the two-day tournament; teammate Teal finishes with a 162

A pair of Minnetonka boys golfers finished up play at the Class AAA state tournament on Wednesday at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids.

Skippers sophomore Jacques Wilson finished the tournament 23rd overall, tied with four other golfers. Junior Jack Teal finished tied for 54th with five other participants.

Wilson shot a 75 on Wednesday, shaving two strokes off his first-round score for a total of 152. Teal shot an 86 on Wednesday, 10 strokes more than his 76 on Tuesday. He finished the tournament with a 162.

Forest Lake’s Max Kelly finished as the individual state champion with a round of 143.

In the team competition, Wayzata and Rogers finished tied for the state championship. Wayzata shot a 291 on the final day to tie Rogers with a 592 overall score.
