VIDEO: Minnetonka Cheer Team Wins National Competition

The Skippers are the first school from Minnesota to ever win a national championship at this competition.

The Varsity Cheer team won a national championship in the Medium Varsity Non-Tumbling Division at the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championships in Orlando. They are the first team from Minnesota to ever win a national championship at this competition.

Minnetonka competed against 16 other schools in the semi-finals and were one of 11 teams to advance to the finals.

The team of 16 girls is coached by Andre Brewer and will be arriving back in Minnesota Monday afternoon.
