State Football: Minnetonka Skippers Play Eden Prairie on Friday

The Minnetonka High School Football team has advanced to the Class AAAAAA State Tournament and will play against Eden Prairie at the Metrodome.

The Minnetonka Skippers Football team has advanced to the state football tournament for the first time since 2004 when the Skippers were the 2004 State Champions.

After finishing the regular season with a 3-5 record, the team has won its last two games. The Skippers defeated Hopkins on Oct. 26 in the first-round of sectional playoffs. The team then beat the previously undefeated Maple Grove Crimson 17-3 on Nov. 2.

The Skippers will play Eden Prairie on Friday, Nov. 9. The game starts at 8 p.m. at the Metrodome. If you can't make the game, check out our live audio on Minnetonka Patch.
