Quick starts are becoming common play for the Minnetonka Skippers boys' lacrosse team. Thursday night against the Edina Hornets proved  what has become a pattern.

The Skippers jumped on the Hornets, scoring four unanswered goals in the first period to take a commanding 4 - 0 lead into the second period.

The Hornets crept back into striking distance late in the fourth quarter. Minnetonka's defense held when it was needed most, giving the Skippers a 14 - 9 win.
