Several Skippers Squads Prep For Postseason

Regular-season comes to an end this week for many Minnetonka teams.

The seventh week of the spring sports season began on Monday, with several Minnetonka High School teams now preparing for the playoffs.

Baseball: Eden Prairie 3, Skippers 0

The Minnetonka baseball team saw its hopes of a Lake Conference title suffer serious damage with a 3-0 loss to visiting circuit foe Eden Prairie on Monday.

The Skippers fell to 13-3 overall and 6-3 in the Lake with the loss and are now scheduled to play at Wayzata on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.

Softball: Skippers 5, Orono 4

A 5-4 non-conference win at Orono improved the Minnetonka softball team to 7-10 overall this spring. 

The Skippers close out their Lake campaign at Wayzata on Wednesday at 4:15 p.m. and conclude their regular season at home versus Minneapolis Southwest on Thursday at 4:15 p.m.

Girls Lacrosse: Eden Prairie 10, Skippers 8

The Minnetonka girls lacrosse team lost 10-8 to Lake champion Eden Prairie at home on Tuesday to fall to 9-3 this spring.

Hilary Duda and Abbey Brodeur each scored twice for the Skippers, who host Hopkins on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in the regular-season finale.

Boys Lacrosse: Eden Prairie 8, Skippers 7

An 8-7 loss to visiting Lake competitor Eden Prairie dropped the Minnetonka boys lacrosse team into a first-place tie with the Eagles as both squads now share a 6-1 conference mark. 

The Skippers, now 9-3 overall, host Hopkins in its final regular-season game on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Boys Golf: Skippers 204, Hopkins 234

Behind Jock Wilson's medlist-winning round of 48, the Minnetonka boys golf team defeated Hopkins, 204-234, in a Lake dual meet at Minnetonka Country Club on Tuesday.

Girls Golf: Skippers Split A Pair Of Meets

The Minnetonka girls golf team defeated Edina, 190-197, on Monday before losing, 184-190, to Eden Prairie on Tuesday in a pair of Lake dual meets. 

Boys Tennis: Wayzata 4, Skippers 3

The Minnetonka boys tennis team lost, 4-3, to Wayzata on Monday.
